David Slivka, 83, longtime Russell resident died peacefully in his sleep at home Saturday morning, September 2nd. David was known for his sense of humor and willingness to help any and everyone. “Driver” was the nickname friends gave him during his drag racing years and it followed him throughout his time working in the auto industry and personal life, because of his knowledge and abilities to diagnose, repair and rebuild cars. David leaves many wonderful and humorous memories to his wife Nancy, daughters Brenda Hoffman and husband Joe in Canton, Angelique Richmond and husband David in Munson, and Jennifer Slivka in Akron along with grandsons Adam Hawkins in Newbury, Andrew Richmond in Munson, brother Frank Tosti in Garfield Heights, sister Joyce and brother-in-law Carson LaMarca in Florida, sisters-in-law Linda Maybury and Cristina Raver and husband Jack in Boardman and many friends.
