Diane L. Sunday (nee Schuster) sadly left our world and went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 15, 2024 at the age of 72. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on Sept. 8, 1951 to Andrew and Dorothy (Thieman) Schuster into a family of three boys, with two more siblings to follow. Growing up in Bedford, Diane had many wonderful memories of adventures in the woods with her siblings; and despite the school antics with her friends, Diane was always curious and was a life-long learner. Getting married and becoming a mom at a young age shaped her into becoming resourceful and persevering. The most significant event to shape her life was in 1986 when she believed and trusted in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior completely changing her heart and life. Diane was hard working; at age 12, she worked early mornings alongside her father at his golf course clubhouses. After years of working various jobs as needed as a single mom, she achieved her lifelong dream of becoming a flight attendant with American Airlines. She thoroughly enjoyed attending to the smallest details with a heart to serve others. However, Diane’s true heart joy was loving and being with her grandchildren. Diane is survived by daughters Melissa (Patrick) Johnson and Dawn (Shane) Wrench; grandchildren Reno, Ally, Kaden and Sawyer; sister Lori (Kevin) Spitzer and brother Gary (Brenda) Schuster; and many nieces and nephews along with their children who she loved and prayed for faithfully. Preceding her in death were her parents Andrew and Dorothy and her three older brothers Craig, Ron, and Brian who she dearly missed. In humble acceptance of God’s will, we would like to invite family and friends to join Diane’s family in honoring and celebrating her life on Sunday, August 25, at Gattozzi & Son Funeral Home at 12524 Chillicothe Rd. Chesterland, OH 44026. Visitation: 1-3 pm; Memorial Service: 3 pm. Followed by a time of gathering and remembering Diane with refreshments. All are welcome to join the family on Monday, August 26, 9 am at Gattozzi & Son Funeral Home. Procession to Bedford Cemetery for a burial service. Followed by a luncheon at Fellowship City Church at 16391 Chillicothe Rd. Chagrin, OH 44023.
