Evelyn Green (Eve) passed peacefully in her sleep March 13, 2025 at the age of 79 in Chesterland, Ohio. In her lifetime, she served in the Air National Guard, and worked as a paralegal, a biologist, and was a published medical researcher who worked on groundbreaking research in bone marrow transplant at the Cleveland Clinic. Eve was a feisty, independent and passionate woman who spoke her mind. She was passionate about animals, and supported multiple animal rights organizations. She loved large African cats, although not owning any, and pampered her domesticated feline babies. She loved to fish, once catching a swordfish, and loved to read and color. A supporter of Cleveland sports and The Ohio State Buckeyes, she would often call her son Fred to discuss the games as she watched with commentary that would rival the best color announcers. She was predeceased by her brother Richard Kaniecki, her husband Fred Green lll, and her husband Rich Hector. She is survived by her children Fred Green (Tammy Kaylor) and Cathy Miller (Don Miller), her grandchild Micki Myers (Matt Myers) and great grandchildren Mayze, Mia, and Renee. She was deeply loved and respected, and she will be missed by all who knew her. There will be no public service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ASPCA.
