Geraldine "Jeri" Fisco

Geraldine “Jeri” Fisco (nee Vitolo), age 86, passed away on February 28, 2026. Born May 4, 1939, in Cleveland, Geraldine was a cherished and devoted presence in the lives of those who knew her. After moving to Chesterland, Ohio, in 1967, she made it her purpose to serve her community with steady commitment and care.

Geraldine became involved and volunteered in many community services, beginning with Welcome Wagon, where she visited the homes of new residents to welcome them to the community. Among the accomplishments she was most proud of was raising funds, organizing, and posting the first signs marking entry into Chester Township—placed at the east and west entrances to Chesterland on Route 322, and on the north and south sides of Route 306. Her efforts helped give the community a clearer sense of identity and arrival, a visible legacy that reflected her dedication and follow-through.

A member and past president of St. Anselm’s Young of Heart, Geraldine also served as group leader for club day trips to theaters, luncheons, and bus trips. She was known as friendly, outgoing, and very organized—qualities that made her a natural leader and a dependable friend.

Professionally, Geraldine worked in the banking industry for 23 years, retiring in 2002 from the Chesterland Key Bank, where she served as branch manager. In retirement, she continued to stay active, working part-time as a receptionist at Howard Hanna in Chesterland.

Geraldine will be missed by so many and remembered for the many wonderful things she did for everyone.

Loving wife for 65 years of the late Albino; loving mother of Jerry, and the late Al, Jr. and John; cherished daughter of the late Marion & Gerald Vitolo; dearest sister of the late Anthony (Irene) Vitolo and Madeline Early; and dearest aunt and great aunt of many.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM, Friday, March 6, 2026 at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 12969 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland. Interment at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
