James Louis Faulk, a U.S. Army Veteran, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025 at the age of 95. Born January 3, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was a Middlefield resident before moving to Novelty six years ago. James worked as a Tank Truck Driver for several companies and also spent time as an Iron Worker. He enjoyed engine maintenance, always eager to tinker and fine-tune. His interest in firearms led him to target shooting, reloading and gun trading. During the 1940’s James earned his solo pilot’s license, working at the small grass strip airport in exchange for lessons. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time with friends, especially at the Middlefield McDonald’s, where he was always up for a good conversation and a warm cup of coffee. His stories, humor, and companionship will be dearly missed by all who knew him. James is survived by his son Jim (ChinYeh); son-in-law Don Nelson; grandchildren Lilly (Austin) Funk, Samuel (Esther) Faulk, Eileen Faulk, and Adam Funk; and sisters Judith Lockhart and Marianne (Jerry) Garity. He is preceded in death by his wife Esther (nee Hayman); daughter Kathleen Nelson; and siblings Chuck, Joan, Nancy, and Jack. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.gattozziandson.com for the Faulk family.
