James Louis Leagan

James Louis Leagan, age 47, passed away June 25, 2014, at University Hospital Geauga Medical Center. He was born Nov. 9, 1966, at University Hospital Geauga Medical Center, and a lifelong resident of Munson. Mr. Leagan graduated from West Geauga in 1986 and served in the U S Army from 1986 to 1989. Jim served as a volunteer fireman in Munson and Newbury Townships for twenty two years and as a Paramedic with Tri County Ambulatory Services for the past seven years. He was a member of the Nelson Ledges Raceway Safety Team and enjoyed riding motorcycles, sport shooting, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Walter and Gloria Jean Leagan; siblings, Emma Ann (Donald, deceased) Meyer, Jeannette (Frank Horack) Wilmot, Frank (Mona) Leagan and Erna (Howard Mabel) Leagan-Mabel; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home 12524 Chillicothe Rd., Chester Twp. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Twp.
