John Hult passed away quietly in the presence of his family on June 28, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol Hult of 60 years, and parents Lois and Paul Hult. He is survived by his daughters: Kris (George “Pat”) Willis, Halli (Ron) Bidwell, Julie (David) Fairbanks, grandchildren: Scott Willis, Ryan (Sara) Willis, Alec Bidwell, Laura Bidwell, Dana Fairbanks, Derek Fairbanks, Dylan Fairbanks, great-granddaughter: Selah Willis, and beloved Westie, Carlee. John grew up in Euclid, Ohio and while in high school started his own printing company in the basement of his parent’s home. He briefly tried college life, but soon realized he was more suited to running his own company. He moved the printing business, Vogue Printing Company to Cleveland and successfully grew and operated the business for several years. John was the ultimate salesman and took up sales and marketing for a land development company in West Virginia for a time before returning to Cleveland and opening his printing equipment sales business, HG Machinery, buying, selling, brokering, and relocating printing equipment all over the country and overseas for 57 years. John married Carol, his high school sweetheart after she graduated from college, and after living 3 years in Euclid, they settled in Pepper Pike where they raised their family. For years John and Carol enjoyed hosting regular EHS class of ‘58 events, organizing dinner dates, parties and get togethers, spending time at the Lake House, and spending time in “sunny southwest” Florida. They also did a lot of traveling on cruises in their earlier years in the Caribbean and during later years to Alaska and through areas of Europe. John was a Master Mason and a Shriner for over 60 years. He enjoyed food, tinkering and organizing, boating, target shooting, and golfing. He was proud to have had 2 holes-in-one! “John P” as he was often referred to by his daughters, loved traveling and transporting them in their teenage years to many horse shows. John was the ultimate people person and enjoyed getting people together and catching up with friends. John would never say goodbye, but rather say “I will see you later”. He will be missed by so many. An interment and graveside service will be held at Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield Heights, OH at a later date. Please, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude or Cleveland Clinic Hospice.
