John N. Robinson, Jr., age 80, of Chesterland, OH, passed away peacefully on December 4th, surrounded by family. Beloved husband of 58 years to Sue (nee Boester); loving father to Jennifer (Clay) Tomasch and Michelle Robinson; cherished grandfather of Andrea Rupert (Anthony Torrelli), Jacob Rupert (Robyne Dulski), Thomas and Emily Tomasch; great grandfather to Grayson Rupert; cherished brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Preceded in death by his parents John and Evelyn Robinson. Originally from New York, John graduated from Trinity-Pawling Prep School and attended Valparaiso University in Indiana where he met his wife. After moving to northeast Ohio in 1968, John and Sue opened the Pet Pavilion Pet Shop in Wickliffe which they ran for 30-years before retiring in 1998. John and Sue spent the next 25-years splitting their time between OH and Hillsdale, NY. Longtime members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Willoughby, and more recently St. Mark Lutheran Church in Chesterland, the family suggests donations to St. Mark Lutheran Church, 11900 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland, OH. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church on Saturday, December 10th. The family will receive friends from 11:00am with a service starting at noon, followed by a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall. Private burial to be held at a later date.
