Lois J. Hummer

Lois J. Hummer (nee Tipping), age 93, passed away peacefully August 9, 2019 in Aurora. Born April 18, 1926 in Cleveland, she was a Chester Twp. resident for 47 years before moving to Mayfield Hts. one and a half years ago. Lois was a Senior Weight Lifter, holding national records. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Willoughby, and an avid reader and former competitive roller-skater. Lois is survived by her children John A. Hummer (Pamela), Kathleen Fogg (Gregory), and Paul Hummer (Barbara); grandchildren, Gwendolyn Bing (Paul Andrew), Gretchen Cellura (Matthew), John P. Hummer (Alexi), Brett Fogg (Leslie), Mollie Seehafer (David), Lisa Ferguson (Matthew), and David Hummer (Jennifer); and 13 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband John O. Hummer (married 51 years); grandson Brian Hummer; and great-granddaughter Abigail Hummer. Friends may call at Christ Lutheran Church, 5555 Som Center Rd., Willoughby, OH 44094 on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, 10:00 – 11:00 am, where services will follow at 11:00 am. Graveside Service and Interment 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Chester Twp. Cemetery.
