MARY ALICE FREER CANNON, age 93, of Shaker Hts., was born on 09/29/1929. She was a “crash baby”, born in the year of the stock market crash that ushered in The Great Depression. During her elementary school years she was always one of the tallest in her class. At Shaker Heights High School, she was awarded the Citizenship Trophy her senior year. She did some modeling for a department store in downtown Cleveland. While at Denison University, she joined the Alpha Phi sorority. She was vice-president of her senior class. Mary Alice was active with the Panhellenic Society, the Western Reserve Historical Society, and the Fork & Hoe, but her main focus was her family. She was so supportive of her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Babysitting, shopping, birthdays, and attending sporting/arts activities, Mary Alice was involved in all of them for decades. She was a very generous and loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Aunt. She will be missed by a great many people. She was a special Lady.
