Phyllis Lamont

Phyllis (nee Scudieri) Lamont, age 98, of Wickliffe, a homemaker, died June 7, 2010, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. She was born March 11, 1912, in Cleveland and lived in Euclid for 35 years before moving to Wickliffe 23 years ago. Phyllis loved dancing and gardening. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining for her family. She was also very proud of her Albanian heritage. Survivors are her daughters, JoAnn V. Lamont and Phyllis M. (Benjamin Seaman) Lamont; grandchildren, Sharon (Bob) Conforto, Susan (Frank Jr.) Bucci and Ron "Rocco" Spinelli; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Rachel Conforto, and Joseph and Jordan Bucci; and sisters, Jerry D'Amico and Rose Tomburello. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manly J. Lamont; brothers, Tony, George and Carmen Scudieri; and sisters, Lucille Hofman and Jeanne Vargo. Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at the funeral home. The Rev. Thomas Sweany will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
