William C. Gura Jr.

William C. Gura, Jr., age 82, passed away peacefully December 19, 2021. Born November 6, 1939 in Chester Twp., he resided in Chester Twp. for over 50 years. Bill worked in maintenance with the Cleveland Metroparks for 32 years, most often at the North Chagrin Reservation in Mayfield Village. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and loved going on a drive to many locations. Bill often visited Geneva-on-the-Lake, area wineries, and his favorite restaurant Trader Jack’s Riverside Grill in Eastlake. He is survived by his sons Darrin (Carolyn) and Brian; daughter Connie; grandchildren Taylor, Jordan, Madison, and Joseph; brother Fred (JoAnn); sister-in-law Andrea Gura; and many nieces and nephews. Bill is preceded in death by his wife JoAnn; grandson Adam; siblings Charles, Nora (Robert) Hahn, and Robert (Roberta); and parents William and Agnes (nee McGurer) Gura. Family and friends may call at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland on Wednesday December 29, 2021, 3-6 pm, where a Remembrance Service will follow at 6:00 pm.
