A devoted mother, Alba was the proud mom of Jorge Jr. and Henry, loving mother-in-law to Doreen and Nina, and the cherished grandmother of Cristiano, Anaiz, and Matthew. Her family was her pride and joy, and she poured her heart into raising them with love, strength, and faith.

Alba was a fighter in every sense of the word. She courageously battled diabetes for much of her life and overcame breast cancer when her children were young — a true testament to her resilience, determination, and deep love for her family.

Her unwavering faith in God gave her the strength to face each challenge with grace and hope. She was known for her compassion, quiet strength, and her deep devotion to those she loved.

Alba shared a remarkable bond with her husband, Jorge L. Rodriguez. More than partners, they were best friends who spent every minute of every day together, finding joy in life’s simple moments. Now reunited in heaven after 50 years of marriage, they are once again side by side — playing dominoes and keeping score, just as they always did. Vega and Guate Forever.

Alba fue una madre devota y amorosa, orgullosa mamá de Jorge Jr. y Henry, querida suegra de Doreen y Nina, y adorada abuela de Cristiano, Anaiz y Matthew. Su familia fue su mayor tesoro, y dedicó su vida a enseñarles amor, fortaleza y fe.

Alba fue una verdadera guerrera. Luchó con valentía contra la diabetes durante gran parte de su vida y venció el cáncer de mama cuando sus hijos eran pequeños — un testimonio de su resiliencia, determinación y profundo amor por su familia.

Su fe inquebrantable en Dios le dio la fuerza para enfrentar cada desafío con gracia y esperanza. Quienes la conocieron la recordarán por su compasión, su fortaleza silenciosa y su gran corazón.

Alba compartió un lazo incomparable con su esposo, Jorge L. Rodríguez. Más que esposos, fueron mejores amigos que pasaban cada minuto de cada día juntos, disfrutando de las cosas simples de la vida. Ahora, después de 50 años de matrimonio, están reunidos nuevamente en el cielo — jugando dominó y llevando la cuenta, como siempre lo hacían. Vega y Guate por siempre.
