In Cayey, Puerto Rico
He was the eldest son of Maria Santos Miranda and Tiburcio Reyes. Graduated from Benjamin Harrison Vocational High School as an Auto mechanic. Attended Northeastern Illinois University. Also joined the Job Corps Program. Toño was a die-hard White Sox Fan. As he always said “win or lose, I’m in." Loved playing baseball, bowling, dominoes, and above all, his love for music. He loved to dance, play the guitar, the güiro, maracas, and he enjoyed Parrandas. If you wanted to listen to some romantic music, his house was the place to be. Many times, he serenaded his wife when they were getting to know each other.
In 1965, he moved to Connecticut in search of a better life and job. Returned to Puerto Rico to serve in The Armed Forces of United States and was Honorably Discharged. In 1966, he returned to Connecticut. In 1967, he returned to Puerto Rico to ask Carmen Irmas parents for her hand in marriage. He then moved to Chicago where they married May 25, 1968, at St. Mark's Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Irma, daughters, and son in-laws, María Reyes, Carmen and Paresh Patel, Myrta Reyes and Fiancée Eliezer Peña Jr. His Sisters and brother Clotilde Bermudez, Lydia Negron. and Santos Reyes (Deceased 2021). His Grandchildren, whom he loved very much, Zulmaris, Yazmine, John, Abygail, and Yanelis, and bonus grandchildren Eliezer III, Yanelie, Alexander, and Joel. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, Compadres, Godchildren and friends.

A visitation for Antonio will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. A final viewing prayers will occur Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. A mass of christian burial will occur Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Saint Francis Borgia Chapel, 8021 West Addison Street, Chicago, IL 60634. A committal & interment service will occur Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Mount Olive Cemetery, 3800 N Narragansett Ave, Chicago, IL 60634.
