I'll miss Aunt Barb at future Christmases and Thanksgivings.   The dinner table banter between her and Uncle Bob always made everyone laugh; and her pumpkin torte always ended the meal on a sweet note.  She had a kind and caring way about her, always wanting to hear more about you rather than say something about herself.  If you needed lifting up, she would encourage rather than discourage, and leave the rest with the Lord.  She didn't speak much about work, but when she did, it was about concern for the patients in her care during the many late nights spent in  Evanston.  I count myself lucky to be her nephew, and I will miss her comforting presence along with many others.

Life long friends like Barb are precious. I'm shocked and saddened over this loss. My thoughts of Barb will always bring a smile to my face and warm my heart. 
Barb had a heart of gold. A wonderful woman, wife,  mother and friend.  She will be missed immensely and thought of often. 
We will keep Bob, Michael and her family in our thoughts. Know you are wrapped in our love. 

My condolences to the Kactro family.  How we used to love getting the cousins together when we were young.  Always alot of laughs. Susie was always so sweet. As are all of you.  I know mom and dad always had a soft spot for all of you.  We will all be thinking of you in the coming days hoping you find peace.  It’s tough to lose a sibling

I am so fortunate to have enjoyed a 20 year friendship with Barb.  In 1989 when Mike and our sons were baptized we stood next to the Larsen family in the group photo.  Fourteen years later we finally met at the Boy Scout Troop where Mike and our son Kevin attended. Later we learned of several more common threads.  We were destined to be friends.  Barb I will miss your laugh,  our phone calls and the wonderful parties you and Bob gave.  This world will not be the same without your kind sweet presence.  Thank you for being my friend. Barb was such a wonderful person, she was a mentor to so many of us in the Radiology world.  Barb was patient and kind and I will be forever grateful for all the knowledge she shared with me.  Sending prayers to her family at this time, may Barb rest in peace.
