

Bo, or as he was affectionately known to his Polish Scouting Organization (PSO-ZHP) / Harcerstwo family - "Bosco," passed away peacefully in his sleep early morning Thursday, December 20, 2018. He fought over 18 months to overcome stage 4 lung cancer that had also metastasized to his bones.
Bo was loved dearly by many and he will be fondly remembered as a nature lover, practical joker, and the guy who always had a smile on his face. As an avid sailor, Bo also enjoyed spending his summers sailing on Lake Michigan. A Chicago native, he spent many years in Crivitz and was part of the first youth camps held on PSO-ZHP land there.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Helena and Stanislaw Maca, as well as his brother Bronislaw Maca.
He is survived by his sister Krystyna (Stan), sister-in-law Diane, brother Stefan (Daniella); nieces and nephews Suzia, Janette (Paul), Michael (Sonia), Steve (Karen), Michelle (Chris), and Krystyna Anna (Joe); great-nieces and great-nephews Ela (Nash), Julia, Steve, Maddie, Alex, Lauren, Payton, Stevie, Lily, Abby, Joey, Mia, Nicole, and Allison.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life memorial service on January 19, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Church located on crossroads Talcott and Harlem. Church service to begin at 11:00am. Luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bo's name to KPH (supporting organization for PSO-ZHP) for the upkeep of Camp Norwid.
