Casimir Buss. Beloved husband of late Luzie (nee Mosch). Loving father of Casey (Donna), Joseph (Lori), and Frank (Sharon). Devoted grandfather of Lindsay (Matt Breger), J. Nolan, Todd, Stacey and Kaitlin. Son of the late Władysław and the late Marianna (nee Żywna). Dear brother of the late Stanisława (the late Edward Kutrzyk), the late Edward (the late Marianna, nee Wojtasik), and the late Henryk (Kazimiera, nee Milka). Dear uncle, cousin and friend of many in the USA, Poland, Germany and France.
Casimir is also known as Kazimierz and was born Wygwizdów, Poland and baptized in Janów. Casimir met Luzie in Germany, and he arrived in Chicago in 1950 after serving in the Polish Guard Company. Luzie followed him to Chicago in 1952 where they married. They raised three sons in the St. Mary of the Angels Parish, in the Bucktown community of Chicago.
Maria Mosch, Luzie’s mother, followed Luzie and 2 of her sisters, the late Sophie (late Stanley) Grzebalski and the late Anna (late Walter) Kalinowski, to help with their families.
He was a Member of the SMA Ushers (50+ years), Holy Name Society, Restoration and Senior Club.
He was not too much into all sports but was an avid scratch lottery player with any winnings going to St.Mary’s. Casimir always handwrote Christmas & Easter cards for friends and family. He stayed in touch with family in Poland via his cousin, Barbara Buss.
Visitation Sunday 2:00 – 9:00 pm at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Ave. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10:00 am at St. Mary of the Angels Church where he will be lying in state from 8:30 am until the time of Mass. Interment Maryhill Cemetery. In lieu of flower’s please donate to the Restoration of St. Mary of the Angels Church.
