Daniel Raymond Hlavik

Daniel Raymond Hlavik, age 78 passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Beloved husband of Patricia A. Hlavik (Jops). Loving father to Karen (John) Kostakis, Cynthia Hlavik, Lisa Hlavik, Steven Hlavik, Christina (Kala) Anders and Laura Kelly. Adoring grandfather of Jake Bruyr, Kristina Kelly and Kylie Kostakis. Daniel is predeceased by his parents Frank Hlavik and Mary Hlavik.

Daniel was a true animal lover, especially dogs. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs or those of his family. One of his favorite past times was watching sports , particularly Football, Baseball, Hockey and Motor sports. He also had a passion for westerns and classic/vintage cars.

Family and Friends will be gathering for a visitation for Daniel on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646. Chapel Prayers & Last Viewing Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Malec & Sons Funeral Home. Catholic Funeral Mass Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 10:30 AM, St. Edward Catholic Church, 4350 W Sunnyside Ave, Chicago, IL 60630. Followed by an Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 6042.
