Di, You are always with us. So many thanks to you for being such a wonderful friend, sister, aunt etc.

It’s been a year since you left us. There are times when it feels longer than a year since I heard your voice and laughter. I imagine that you are having a grand time with our loved ones that went before you.  I miss you , my big sister 🩷

Diane..I will always miss you. In so many ways we did so many things together, but the best times were our laugh times.

The WGN engineering department could not have functioned without her. She knew everyone and supported our leaders in every way. Diane was quick witted and had a wonderful sense of humor.  She could answer any administrative question and guide us through the paperwork. Diane was a behind-the-scenes administrative engineer we all depended on and loved. She holds a special place in the history and growth of WGN.

I remember Diane as very kind person while I worked at WGN TV 1986-1994,  just down the hall from her. She made WGN a better place to work. She will be greatly missed.

Such a loving & caring individual I’m honored to have worked with her.

Diane was a big Elvis fan.  When the "Love Me Tender" movie came out we went to see it.   Some 17, 18 year old boys were sitting in front of us & they didn't like Elvis.    Diane was 16 and the more they made fun of Elvis, the madder she got.  Finally she couldn't take it anymore & she picked up her purse and hit one over the head!
On her 60th birthday, I reminded her of the day she defended Elvis. 
Diane not only remembered, she was still glad she did it.

Diane helped orient me as a  new employee at WGN-TV/Radio. She made sure I filled out all the required forms and answered my questions during my early days at WGN. She was one of the most competent administrators imaginable and was both stern but compassionate in taking care of all of us in the engineering department. My prayers are with her beautiful soul. I'm absolutely devastated to hear of Diane's passing. A more beautiful human being simply has never walked this planet. Diane possessed the most wonderful smile and greeted everyone she met with lovely, kind words.  To Diane's family, I am sad beyond words. I just want you to know EVERYONE who knew Diane loved her and we can only begin to imagine the sadness you feel and put our arms around you at this sad time and grieve with each of you.

I am so grateful I got to know Diane. Even though she is no longer with us, she will always be in my heart. Her kindness, positive energy and smile will always be remembered. She will be missed😢

My condolences for your loss.  Among her other qualities, Diane worked hard to nurture the WGN Centurians for many years.  I'm not sure she received the thanks she deserved, but i never got the impression she did it for "thanks."

Diane is front and center with the blue logo at our WGN Family reunion brunch last June...our first brunch in years after covid.  

At a WGN Quarter Centurions dinner which Carol Hankner about ten years ago...Diane helped manage the event that kept her WGN family together for so many years.
