Dolores E. Latza was a woman whose presence filled a room and whose love held a family together. A true joy to be around and a straight shooter in the best sense of the word, Dolores was the matriarch of her family—strong, honest, and deeply devoted to those she loved.
Family was everything to Dolores. She was a proud homemaker who found her greatest purpose in creating a home where everyone felt welcome. Holidays, especially Christmas, took center stage in her life. Any occasion was a good occasion if it meant bringing her family together, and she worked tirelessly to make those moments special.
Dolores was full of wisdom and had a remarkable ability to help others navigate life’s challenges. No matter the problem, she listened with care, spoke with honesty, and offered guidance that came from experience, faith, and love. Many turned to her for advice, knowing she had a way of making even the hardest situations feel manageable.
A woman of deep faith, Dolores was a devoted Catholic whose love for God guided her life and shaped her values. Her faith was not only something she believed in, but something she lived—through her compassion, her strength, and her unwavering devotion to family.
In her younger years, Dolores enjoyed playing cards and was a member of a mother-daughter poker club, a pastime that reflected both her competitive spirit and her love of togetherness. Card games remained a favorite throughout her life, another way she connected with family and friends.
Dolores leaves behind six children, many grandchildren, and even more great-grandchildren—each one a testament to the life she built and the legacy of love she leaves behind. She is now reunited in heaven with her loving husband, Ralph, of 56 beautiful years, a reunion that brings comfort to those who mourn her passing.
Though she will be deeply missed, Dolores E. Latza’s spirit lives on in the traditions she created, the faith she shared, and the family she cherished above all else.
