Donald M. Criel, age 91 WWII US Navy Veteran, Beloved husband of Genevieve, née Skrzynski and the late Maureen, née Nelis; Loving father of Don (Cathy), George (Patti) and Dennis; dearest grandfather of Kelli Rendl, Michael (Nikki) Criel, Patti (Paul) Lang, Jeff (Jenny) Criel, Ben (Melanie) Toth, Katie (Kevin) Tiesing; great-grandfather of nine; loving brother of Maurine "Sis" Pasowicz and her devoted caregiver Buddy. Mr. Criel was a member of the American Legion Post #946 also a member of Local #150 operating engineer with the City of Chicago Water Department for 68 years, member of the Waucinda Sportsman's Club. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.Funeral Saturday 8:45 a.m. from the Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home 6901 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago to St. Priscilla Church. Mass 9:30 a.m. Interment Mt Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Rainbow Hospice, 444 N. Northwest Hwy. Suite 145 Park Ridge, IL 60068. Visitation Friday 3 to 9 p.m.
