Doris Alamo-Castro, age 67, of Plainfield, Illinois was born in San Lorenzo Puerto Rico to the late Lino and Carmen and passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. Doris was the beloved wife of the late Juan Castro; loving mother of Jose (Elizabeth) Tirado, the late Joel (Norma) Tirado, Omar (Jannette) Castro, Jonathon Alamo-Castro; proud grandmother of Melissa, Chantell, Jeremy, Jacob, the late Jordan, Gabriel and Jocelyn; great grandmother of Jaylene and Janiya; dear sister of the late Miguel Alamo, Carmen Rodriguez, and Ricardo Alamo; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Doris was a loving mother who was proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doris loved the outdoors and fishing with her family.

A visitation for Doris will be held Monday, January 3, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. A visitation will occur Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. A committal service will occur Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Mount Olive Cemetery, 3800 North Narragansett Ave, Chicago, IL 60634.
