Born Erzsebet Lakatos in Panyola, Hungary in 1930, she knew much social unrest before immigrating to the United States in 1963 when she married Alex, her husband. In 1966 their only child, Joseph, was born.
Beloved mother of Joseph Alex (Eva) Banyai, fond aunt of Sandor and Karoly Varga and Imre and Ilona Lakatos.
Preceded in death by husband Alex Joseph Banyai, parents Imre Lakatos and Jusztina Peter Lakatos, and siblings Vilma (Sandor) Varga and Imre Lakatos.
Visitation Thursday, June 16, 10am (prayers begin 12noon) at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625. Interment to follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
