Elzbieta Barbara (Basia) Brodowski passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 28th, 2023, at the age of 76, surrounded by family members. Adored daughter of the late Jan and Justyna Sawicki; cherished wife of Henry Brodowski; devoted mother of Aneta Galary (Kris Leschynski) and Arthur (Sasha) Brodowski; loving grandmother of Lucas Leschynski, Elly and Kate Brodowski; beloved sister of Szczepan (Ewa) Sawicki and the late Grzegorz (Urszula) Sawicki; fond aunt of Renata (Michal) Wyka, Rafal (Maricris) Sawicki, Agatha (Brandon) Lee and Piotr Sawicki. She knew how to enjoy simple pleasures in life, loved dancing and social life. She was resilient, strong, and able to push through almost any hardships in life. Underneath her reserved shell, lay a loving and sentimental soul, utterly devoted and loyal to her family.
Friends and family will gather for a memorial visitation for Basia on Friday, August 4th, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a chapel service at 7:30 PM at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, (Edward A. Tylka, Manager), 6000 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60646.
