

She was born on November 2, 1917 in Caoayan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Philippine Normal University and also a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from University of Baguio.
Esther loved to socialize, play bingo, go to the casino, take her grandchildren to the movies and eat out but her biggest passion was playing mahjong. She was her happiest sitting in front of mahjong tiles with friends, never a sore loser on a bad night believing that “if you don’t want to lose, then don’t play.”
She is survived by her daughters Lelita Tungol, Joan Acot and son-in-law Leopoldo; daughter-in-law Riceli; her grandchildren Jobert, Melani, Judith, Edward, Vera, Leo, Arthur, Amy, Alan Jr., Gary and Anne; 19 great grandchildren; her sisters Aurora, Leonore and Leticia; 3 half brothers and 3 half sisters; nephews, nieces, friends and her beloved and faithful niece, Lilia, who took good care of her for years.
She is predeceased by her husband John Feir; son Alan; grandson John II; brothers Manuel and Deogracias Jr; sisters Seranidad, Bienvenida and Nellie.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago, Illinois 60634 from 4:00 pm-9:00 pm.
Mass service will be on Friday, August 30, 2019 at St. Celestine Catholic Church, 3020 N. 76th Ct., Elmwood Park, Illinois 60707 from 10:00 am-11:00 am followed by the committal service at Mount Olive Cemetery, 3800 N. Narragansett Ave., Chicago, Illinois 60634.
