

After earning her B.A. in Education from Chicago State University, Kitty taught grade school before becoming specialized in Early Intervention and Early Childhood Development. She also ran a daycare out of her home for a decade prior to her work as a developmental therapist at Chicago’s Esperanza Therapeutic Day School.
Kitty loved being a grandmother. She enjoyed going on adventure walks with her grandchildren, playing in the park, and spending time reading and telling stories. She regularly hosted Sunday dinner for the family.
Kitty was an active member of her faith community. She worked as a catechist in SPRED and was a Eucharistic Minister to the sick.
Beloved wife of 48 years to Edward Francis Rokos. Amazing mother of five boys: Edward “Ted” (Mary), Anthony (Tracy O’Dowd), Robert (Haelim Lee), Daniel (Kira Cahill), and Vincent (Amanda) Rokos. Very proud grandmother (“Nonna”) of Josephine “JoJo”, Dominic “Nico”, Katharine “Kate”, Henry, Robin, and Ada Rokos.
Dear sister of Robert (the late Warnell) Ziolkowski, Margaret (Gary) Yong, and the late Elizabeth “Betty” (Philip) Haskett. Daughter of the late Raymond and Frances (nee Cannata) Ziolkowski.
Visitation Tuesday, July 26, 4-8pm at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago, 60625. Funeral mass 11am Wednesday, July 27, Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 2330 W. Sunnyside, Chicago, 60625. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
