Francisco Osongco Garcia

Francisco Osongco Garcia, age 85, of Chicago. Beloved husband of Leticia Jimenez Garcia; loving father of Maricelle and Katarina Garcia; adored "Lolo" of Stephanie and Lauren Carmody; cherished brother of Isidro (Tessie) Garcia, the late Melquiades (the late Teresa) Garcia, the late Eugenio (the late Itang) Garcia, the late Soccorro Garcia, Teufista (the late Doming), and the late Josefina Garcia; dear son of the late Jose Garcia and Maria Osongco Garcia.

Francisco was a quiet man with a deep faith in God. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes since 1977. He was studying to be a mechanical engineer and was almost finished when his father asked him to stop so he could work to support his siblings. That's when he started to apprentice for his father and became an expert mechanic. It's ironic that although they had a farm in the Philippines, he discovered his love for gardening in America.
