Deepest sympathy to the Philippi family.  RIP Greg and peace to your family.

Greg and the Philippi Family were our generous and caring neighbors ever since my twin sister and I were born. They were there for us if we needed a helping hand and checked in on us. 
A memory I have with Greg was when he would always stop at a bakery and pick up some huge cookies for my sister and I. We were excited every time he would give us one! 
Greg would always open his gate and invite our German Shepherd named Dixie over in the backyard to have a biscuit! 
Like Sue Philippi said, Greg was a teddy bear! 
May you rest in peace Greg, you’ll never be forgotten! 


The Philippis were always there for us whenever we needed them. We were more than just neighbors: we were good friends. Here they are celebrating our twin daughters’ first Holy Communion. 

No one had a bigger heart than Greg.  My daughter, Stephanie, (pictured here at Denise Philippi’s wedding with Greg himself) can only hope to exhibit as much kindness as Greg had shown to herself during her first twelve years of life. He was a staple in her lively childhood, a friend to her father when work was rough and he was in need of a smile, and a supporter to her mother who was blessed with premature twins. He will be deeply missed by many. 

Greg; the man who had every tool you could ever need and a will to lend them out. Not only was he giving, but he was also welcoming as no Fourth of July ever went by without an invite to his annual barbecue. He not only treated my family to tasty burgers (that he prided in flipping himself) but also to joyful memories that will last a lifetime. For the Peterson family, you put the “home” in Garden Homes. We will never forget you, Greg. 

Where to begin with 32 years of friendship and how you, Sue, Renee, Michelle and Denise accepted me into your family when Scott and I started dating.
You were there to help with our first house, build Amy’s playground, help with many things when we built our house, but what I will cherish the most, is how you refinished my Mom’s cedar chest for Amy.  The talent you had as a carpenter, was over the top.
Sue and I would laugh about how you were always there to help any of your friends wives, and her projects were put on hold.  And that was so accurate.
Until we meet again!!


Greg and I were grade school friends. He was always so kind.....a gentle giant.  You will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

You were always a true friend and brother to me over the the last 40 years. Always there when I needed help with  a project or a tool  I did not have. You helped everyone in need whether you know them or not.
I can not express enough how much I will miss our friendship. We were always there for each other, good times and difficult times. Lots of laughs and a couple uneasy situations that we worked through.

Godspeed my brother.


Greg always accepted me with teasing and love. During difficult times in high school, I always had the Philippi's unconditional love and support and that will always hold a big spot in my heart. Hearing of Greg's passing is heart shattering. I'm so sorry to you all for the loss of such a funny, kind, loving man.
