Our truest condolences to Henry's family.  He was a real gentleman always ready with a smile and helping hand.  He was a good neighbor the moment he moved into the building.  We're so sorry that we were out of town when this all happened, but we'll say good-bye to him now, but he won't be forgotten.

It is with our deepest regret to have learned of Henrys untimely passing. I had the privilege of meeting and working with him years ago at the Cadillac dealership in downtown Chicago. He will always be remembered for his upbeat personality and hearty laughter. Goodbye old friend.

We hadn't spoken for a few years but we did keep up with each others Facebook posts. From Rainbo hockey to Blackhawks games, Sunday afternoon insult sessions in his garage bedroom to Banana's disco, your laughter will never be forgotten. It's up to you to reserve the ice time til the rest of us get there.

So deeply saddened to hear of Henry's passing. I've known him since I was a little girl. I remember him as a very caring and generous soul. My heart goes out to all of his family and friends that are grieving at this very trying time. Heaven has gained yet another angel......

I don't know what to say.  I am heartbroken to have just found out of Henry's passing.  Henry has been a godsend to so many of my past car issues, the last 20+ years.  He always went out of his way to help and I valued his knowledge.   
My deepest condolences to his family and everyone at Erich's Lehigh!  Henry will be deeply missed by all of us here at Wells Lamont, especially me.  Ruhe in Frieden, Henry!

Wow, still stunned by this…My wife, Evie and I are so sad to hear this news. Time waits for no one but Henry was way too young to have this happen to him. I met Henry through Larry, who were best buds and enjoyed irking each other as part of their shtick! ;) Henry was a good man and always happy to see Evie and I whenever we ran into each other at the Brauhaus. His contagious laugh complimented by his ever rosy cheeks. He would go out of his way to sit down and catch up on what was going on in our lives and his in a very genuine way. A jovial mope ;), Henry was a solid, straight forward, stand up guy who was never pretentious. I will always have good memories of running around in his VW van back in the day, Blarney's Island on his boat, his garage top bachelor pad lair, playing late night rat hockey and wacky Halloweens. I can hear Rod Stewart, Devo, Talking Heads, REO, Journey and The Stones “Some Girls” playing in my head as we were cruising the streets with no where in particular to go. ;) Many times Larry and I would drop in and drag Henry out late at night even though he didn't want to go but succumbed to Larry's prodding! Ultimately we would end up at the Brauhaus or Bananas or getting a gyro and a pizza puff at some fast food joiny after being out all nite. ;) Hugs and comfort to his sisters Christel and Birgit, whom I met through Henry and Larry. My wife and I have been long time Café Sel Marie customers and we will miss running into Henry there while having a coffee and a kahlua torte, the now closed Meyer's Deli, Hüettenbar or other hangouts up and down Lincoln Ave. Prost Heinrich!
