Herminia “Emily” Ryan (nee Urriquia); passed away on October 7, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, IL. She was born on February 2, 1951, the 12th child of 13 to Hugo and Salud Urriquia. She has been living in Chicago since 1986. She is survived by her husband Richard "Rick" Ryan, her two children Anthony (Stephanie) Fojas and Bradley (Maggie) Fojas, and grandchildren Rex Fojas and Daphne Fojas. She is also survived by her three brothers, Arturo (Juliana) Urriquia, Bobby Urriquia, and Mario (Julie) Urriquia and one sister, Gloria Toledo. She is fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many good friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home at 6901 W. Belmont Avenue, Chicago on Friday, October 11th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Prayer Service at 5:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Saturday, October 12th at Our Lady of Victory Church 5212 W. Agatite Avenue Chicago. Interment to follow at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery 8600 N. Milwaukee Aveniue, Niles.
