Irene L. Superson, age 91, of Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood. Beloved wife of 68 years to the late Thaddeus (“Teddy”); loving mother of Michael, Luann, Anita, Kristin, and the late Thomas Superson; devoted daughter of the late George and the late Lottie; dear sister of Robert (Mona) Lukas, and the late George Lukasiewicz, and beloved aunt to Joseph (Eva) Lukas and Ann (Mark) Gemmel.
Irene was a lifelong parishioner of Transfiguration Church where she also married her husband, Ted. She was devout in her faith. She was a devoted and loving mother to her five children, losing her youngest son, Tom, 26 years ago. She enjoyed celebrating life with her entire family and was generous with her time with them and all others. Her smile and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her.
Lying in state Monday, August 1, 2022 at St. Padre Pio Parish at the Church of St. Hilary, at 5601 N. California Ave., Chicago, IL, 9:30a.m.until the time of Mass at 11a.m. Internment to follow at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery, Niles, IL. Arrangements entrusted to Drake & Son Funeral Home.
