Jane Ann Olson

Jane was born in Quincy, Illinois on January, 11, 1949, to Oscar and Martha (Cooley) Olson.

She graduated from Polo High School in 1967, and later graduated from Western Illinois University in 1971. Jane was a lifelong learner, and with her commitment and passion for education, she became a teacher in the Chicago Public Schools district. Jane was a voracious reader and her brother, Dan, made sure she grew up a Chicago Cubs fan. In her younger years, Jane enjoyed bicycling and once rode her bike from her Chicago home to her high school class reunion in her hometown of Polo, IL, where she also played the trombone. She will be missed.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Martha Olson; brother, Daniel Keith Olson; and nephew Keith Trevor Olson.

She is survived by her brother, Curtis Todd Olson of Lakewood, CO; three nephews; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.

The family will be hosting a graveside ceremony at Memorial Park Cemetery in Galesburg, IL at a later date.
