It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Baranowski on Sunday, June 09, 2024 in Chicago, IL. Retired Sergeant for the Chicago Police Department, District 24, he devoted 25 years prior to his retirement protecting and serving the city of Chicago. Adored son of George and the late Irene Baranowski; Devoted husband of Nahrain Baranowski; Loving father of Steven (Jennifer) Baranowski; Dear Grandfather of John Baranowski and Steven Baranowski; Beloved brother of Thomas Baranowski, Bonnie (Carl Moellenberndt) Schmied, Jan (Pat) Short, the late Ellen Baranowski, June (Vince) Fergus; Adoring son-in-law of Fadhila Balyos; and brother in-law to Nayle (Judy) Bikoma, George (Tamar) Bikoma, Narseen (Mike) Hall, Pauline Lybold, Billy (Patty) Bikoma; and dearest uncle to many nieces and nephews.
