So sorry to hear of John's passing.  A lovely and charming man. I treasure my visits to him and Eileen durimg my Summer breaks. My brother Matt and I only visited himself and Eileen  this July.

So sorry to hear about Uncle John’s passing. Great  memories of him and his family throughout my childhood years and beyond. He always had a smile and a word for us all and his love and friendship with mummy (his sister Teresa) was evident at all times. He and daddy had a great love and respect for each other and he was very dear to all of us in the Downey clan. John Brady, Maynooth and Waterford

I have extremely fond memories of my Uncle John- his visits with his family to our farm in South Armagh were always highly anticipated - my mother- Johns sister- was very very close to John and we all loved hearing stories of their childhood- and we always had fun times with our cousins. John inspired me to take the plunge and emigrate- he had that wonderful infectious attitude of “ just take a chance” and life will fall into place. He was a wonderful dad, a great brother a humble man who loved life lived  to laugh and was a great role model. 
I am sure his family will miss him dearly and our thoughts are all with you but you can all be comforted with the legacy he leaves.

So sad to hear about the sad passing of Uncle John. Many memories of him visiting our house in Northern Ireland and the many visits to them when you lived in Navan and Ashbourne. Such a kind hearted, level headed man who was a hard worker and to whom family meant everything. Sincere condolences, Aunty Eileen, Mary, Agnes, Joe and John and to your extended families.
