Joseph Peter Kawa

Joseph ("Joe") Peter Kawa was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1941 to Joseph Kawa, Sr. and Harriett Szymczak Kawa. He grew up in Chicago along with his twin sister, Joanne Chavez and younger sister Janice Kawa. Joe attended high school in Chicago.

Joe enjoyed and excelled at everything mechanical and after working for years in the machinery field, he started his own company, Fox Valley Machining Company. And in 1976, Joe married the love of his life, Janet C. Chize, in St. Peter's Church. They built their dream home together and started their married life in St. Charles, Illinois. Joe and Janet lived in that dream home throughout their marriage and cherished each other for over 47 years. On Friday, September 15th, 2023, Joe passed away quietly in St. Charles Illinois.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Kawa, Sr. and Harriett Szymczak Kawa, He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Janet C. Kawa, twin sister Joanne Chavez, younger sister Janice Kawa, niece Melissa Chavez and a host of extended family and friends.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Joseph that will be on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, (Edward A. Tylka, Manager), 6000 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60646. Chapel service officiated by Denise Tracy will be at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60646.
