

JUN, as he is known to many, was born in La Union, Philippines and lived in Galas, Quezon City. He worked at the Department of City Schools, City Hall, Manila before coming to Chicago, Illinois. He then worked for Beltone for several years and was later employed at Switchcraft.
JUN was very athletic. He was a star basketball player of the Department of City Schools, Manila. He also played for the Philippine Basketball Association, Chicago Chapter. Jun had a very kind heart, was very accommodating and welcoming especially to Filipinos who had just arrived in the U.S. and helped them adjust to the American life. He had a great sense of humor which made people feel comfortable and at ease with him.. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
JUN is survived by his wife Jessica Garcia-Alhambra, his children Juan Ralph G. Alhambra III and Jesselle G. Alhambra, and siblings, Rodrigo, Rogelio, Rosalinda, Alejandrino, Manuela, Concepcion, Wilfredo, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.
JUN is preceded in death by his parents, Juan E. Alhambra, Sr., and Melchora B. Alhambra, as well as his brother, Ludovico B. Alhambra and sister, Aurelia Alhambra-Matalines.
Visitation will be held on July 7th, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a mass service to be officiated by Fr. Joel Lopez at 7:00 p.m at the Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago, IL.
