Julia Barreto Guzman

Julia Barreto Guzman, age 92, of Chicago, IL, was born in Camuy, Puerto Rico on April 10, 1929, and born into eternity on December 23, 2021. Julia came to Chicago from Bayamon, Puerto Rico in 1968 with her late partner Jose Martinez, Sr. and children. Julia worked at Playtex, Zenith TV & Radio, Bally's Manufacturing, and many, many more. Julia lived for her family and cared for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Julia loved and devoted herself to her Cockatiels and plants. She had a green thumb, especially growing tomatoes. In Spanish or English, she loved to share her opinions, and show her strong character. Julia enjoyed endless rounds of playing Dominos and Bingo with family and friends. Later in life, trips to the Casino became her favorite pastime. Julia loved to cook for her family, friends, neighbors, and some of the Chicago White Sox, even though she was a diehard Chicago Cubs Fan.
