Lawrence Mario Basili

Lawrence was a proud and decorated veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served his country with honor and distinction.

He was the beloved son of the late Quinto and late Ida Basili, and the devoted husband of 45 years to Patricia (née Rada) Basili. He was a loving and dedicated father to Michelle Mary Basili, father-in-law to Kim Basili, and a proud grandfather to Dante Lucca Basili, Lawrence’s family was the center of his life.

He was a cherished brother to the late Dolores Silvestri and the late Lola Jandrisits.

He was a beloved uncle to Robert Silvestri , Joseph Jandrisits (Bobbie), Lawrence Silvestri (Jessica), as well as great-uncle to Angelina Silvestri and Anthony Silvestri, great-great Uncle to Lavin Silvestri.

Lawrence retired from the City of Chicago Management and was a long standing member of Chicago West-Suburban chapter of UNICO National.

Loved by so many, Lawrence will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, strength of character, and the deep care he showed to all who knew him.

A visitation for Lawrence will be held Monday, October 13, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Queen of Peace - St Eugene Worship Site, 7958 W Foster Ave, Chicago, IL 60656. A funeral mass will follow at 12pm. Following the mass a committal service will follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums, 1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162.
