I am beyond heart broken to see that Leo has passed away. My heart is sad. My parents lived right across the street from him in Franklin Park. He literally adopted me when he met me. We always called each other and would catch each other up on what was going on. He was in love with all my kids. My kids looooooved him too. They had the biggest respect for him. I will never be the same as I never got to say good bye and just found out by  finding his obituary. I had him in my mind for this last week and knew I had to catch up with him. I knew he had fell and all but time just went by from April until now. I kept telling myself I needed to call him and just found his obituary. To his Sons wherever you may be… your dad was an amazing person. He was like a father to me. He always listened without judgment. He met my kids and was always so proud of them. When he called me he never ever forgot to ask about the kids. Wherever in heaven you  may be Leo I pray that you resting and have found the love of your life again. I pray that my heart heals from your loss. Thank you for being the sweetest and kindest always to me and my family. 🙏🏼 Rest easy. 🕊️Love you always!

Leo was a good friend and a good neighbor. I was happy to see him every other day when I was living In Franklin Park. I also remember how happy Nilda was when I invited her to my late mother's birthday party.  I will always  cherish their friendship and their memory.

I have so many wonderful memories of Abuelito Leo. He had a heart of gold and had an astonishing personality. I will always remember him smoking a Piña Colada pipe and his love for baseball!

This was the last photo I have of Tio, my wife and my kiddos.  He was always my favorite Tio; I grew up with the loving smell of his pipe.  We can find comfort in knowing he is with Titi and his siblings in heaven smiling down at us.  May he rest in peace

We only knew Leonides through his sons’ stories, and through those stories you could tell how loved he was. He raised two of the kindest men, and his legacy will live on in their lives and the many lives he touched. What a beautiful long life, but I am so sorry we don’t get more time with him. Matt and I send our love and condolences to all family and friends, and especially our beloved friends Tony and Steven.

Leo, you were part of the family and it was always a joy to see you and Ronny walking on the block.! You will truly be missed!
