Linda Diane Jennings

Linda Diane Jennings, age 70, of Chicago, Illinois, died March 3, 2026, at 6:08 p.m. Born February 8, 1956, Linda passed away peacefully but suddenly and will be remembered fondly and with gratitude for a life devoted to others.

Linda graduated from Loyola University in 1978 with a B.A. in Education. She taught in the Chicago Catholic School System for 40 years, and then for a private school for 8 more years. A born teacher, Linda dedicated her life to teaching and was always looking for ways to make learning fun for her children. She was frequently stopped in neighborhood stores by young adults who were her former students—each able to recall how much they enjoyed having her as a teacher.

Linda is lovingly remembered as the wonderful wife to Steve. She was loved by her brothers John and Steven. She was a cherished aunt to Jennifer, Robert, Michael, Anthony, Olivia, and Daniel, and a great-aunt to Arielle and Ava. Linda will be missed by her many friends.

Visitation will be held at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646, US, on March 12, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on March 13, 2026 at 8:30 am. A Prayer Service will take place at Malec & Sons Funeral Home on March 12, 2026, at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St. William Catholic Church, 2600 N Sayre Ave, Chicago, IL 60707, US, on March 13, 2026 at 10 am followed by a Committal Service will take place at St Adalbert Catholic Cemetery.
