Lurdes Ruiz, age 70, was born in Chicago on July 29, 1953, and born into eternity on November 11, 2023. Lurdes was the most loving mother of Jeannette (James) Badillo, Jennifer (the late Ziggy) Teruel, and Michael (Tiffany) Ruiz; adoring grandmother of Cristina (Victor) Chavez, Michael Ruiz Jr., Cierra Pratt, James Badillo I, Joseph Badillo, Matthew Teruel, Jacob Badillo, Mia Teruel, Natalia Hilliard-Quevedo and Noah Ruiz; most adoring great-grandmother of Audriana Chavez, Isaac Chavez, and Alexis Chavez; dear daughter of the late Jesus & Cristina Matos; cherished sister of Norma (Juan) Reyes, Jesus Jr. (Millie) Matos, Antonio Matos, Jose Matos, Luisita (Angel) Collazo, David (Janice) Matos, Nereida (Edwin) Matos, and the late Israel Matos; unforgettable aunt; caring cousin; and fond friend of many.

A Visitation for Lurdes will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Montclair-Lucania FH - East Wing Chapel, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. A Celebration of Life Service will occur Monday, November 20, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Montclair-Lucania FH - East Wing Chapel, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. A Committal & Interment Service will occur Monday, November 20, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Elm Lawn Memorial Park, 401 East Lake Street, Elmhurst, IL 60126.
