Our mother was our rock, who we could always turn to no matter how bad we stepped in it. Our friend willing to just sit with us and listen to our nonsense. She was truly beautiful inside and out with a kind heart the size of an ocean. We asked her to fight and she did. She fought hard. But then it was time to ask her to stop fighting, and to let her know that it was ok to let go. She may have lost the fight but by God she sure as hell won the battle because now she is in the loving merciful hands of our Lord. She really knew how to live in the “now” and just had a natural calming way about her that kept us grounded. She had an effortless ability to bring us and our wild ways back down to earth and living in the present. We humbly ask that you all pray for the Lords mercy on her soul. That she may be welcomed with open arms into His heavenly kingdom where she may rest in His peace and joy for all eternity.
God bless you mom. We know you and dad are up there in God’s kitchen jitterbugging your tails off showing them how it’s done. 😊🙏
One final thought:
I was a shy kid growing up. I would get nervous or self conscious before school, parties and other events at times. My mom would bend down and sweetly say, "Terry, just be yourself.” What a wonderful thing to tell a young child while growing up. Yes, “just be yourself,” no wiser words were ever spoken mom. Imagine if all the world dropped their pride for a moment and took that bit of advice. And that is truly how she lived her life. I think it would make her smile if she felt like we all brought that thought home with us today.
