Maria de Los Angeles Uribe

Maria was a woman of independence, strength and determination. Her beauty was matched by her many talents. In her earlier years she was a successful business owner and entrepreneur with a natural ability for sales and management. With her undeniable charisma she held many leadership roles throughout her career and earned respect for her drive, ambition, and strong work ethic. At her best, Maria was confident, admired for her abilities, and deeply self-reliant. Qualities that defined her during her most active and productive years.

Gifted with a sophisticated voice, Maria also worked in radio in Chicago, lending her voice to voice-over work for a period of time. This work reflected her diverse abilities.

Her journey was not without difficulty and she navigated many challenges. Through it all, Maria’s outgoing personality never faltered and she left an impression on everyone she came into contact with.

Maria is survived by her children: Michelle, Stelle, Chris, Jesse, and Armani; her grandchildren: Sebastian, Jacob, Angelica, Sage, Isaac and Fia; and her great-grandchildren Leyada and Camila.

She will be remembered for her charisma, her entrepreneurial spirit, her independence, her versatility and the complexity of life by both accomplishment and struggle. May she now find peace and rest

A visitation will be held at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, located at 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646, on February 11, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A memorial service will take place at the same location on February 11, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
