

Mary Virginia Wolfe, born on November 9, 1934, in Chicago, passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 91. Most recently a resident of Wood Dale, Illinois, Mary was a devoted and compassionate individual, known for her selfless and generous nature.
Mary was born to Paul and Rosalie Wolfe and attended school at both St. Hilary and St. Gregory parishes on Chicago's north side. Her career began at ComEd, where she worked as an executive administrator immediately after high school, dedicating nearly 40 years to the company before her retirement.
A woman of strong faith, Mary's devotion to her home parish of St. Hilary and to her Lord was the cornerstone of her life. Her involvement in the Woman's Club at St. Hilary Parish was notable, and she was honored as Woman of The Year in 2020.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Rosalie Wolfe, her sister Josephine Sereno, and her brother Paul Wolfe.
She is survived by her sister Patricia Norgard (the late John), her sister-in-law Esther Wolfe, several beloved nieces and nephews, as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews. Mary was also a lifelong friend to many.
Visitation will be held at St Padre Pio Parish, located at 5600 N Fairfield Ave, Chicago, IL, on December 11, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The Committal Service will take place at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL, immediately following Mass.
Mary will be remembered as a beloved member of her community and family, whose faith and generosity left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
