Maureen Rose Fiore

Born on August 26, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, Maureen dedicated her life to education and the enrichment of others. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Northeastern University. She went on to share her passion for learning with countless students in both Chicago Catholic Schools and Chicago Public Schools.

Maureen found great joy in traveling the world to learn, and had a special love for model trains and collecting rosaries from each place she visited. She will be remembered most for her deep commitment to teaching and sharing new experiences with others.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons, John (Alicia) and Mark (Michelle); her grandchildren, Justin, Allison, Sabina and Sienna; her siblings, Beverly, Eileen, Bill, Sue, Bob and Dennis; and many other dear family members and friends.

A visitation for Maureen will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646. A final viewing will occur Friday, August 1, 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646. Final prayers will occur Friday, August 1, 2025 at 9:30 AM. A funeral mass will occur Friday, August 1, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Saint Robert Bellarmine Catholic Parish, 4646 N Austin Ave, Chicago, IL 60630. A committal service will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
