Meta Lauer, nee Kelm, 98, of Chicago, passed away January 7, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Herman; devoted sister of the late Arnold Kelm and twins, Ruth (the late Michael) Ladd and Harold (the late Carol) Kelm; dearest aunt of Shelley L. (Peter) Frain, Kathy Chipps, Jeanette (John) May, Kenneth (Cheryl) Kelm and the late Ronald Kelm and Michael Ladd; fond great aunt of Gannon and Connor Frain, Melanie Chipps, Jonathan and Priscilla May, Skyler and Dustin Kelm and Misty Kodama; loving stepmother of Cecile M. Lauer and the late Shirley L. (Bruce) Neff; cherished stepgrandmother of Michelle A. (Don) Vrtis and Mark J. (Janelle) Foster; dear step great grandmother of Chris, Amy and Eric Vrtis and Jacob, Rachel and Samantha Foster. Visitation Friday, Jan. 14th, 3 – 9 p.m. at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago where a funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 15th at 11 a.m. Interment Ascension Cemetery.
