Michael Samuel Erenberg

Michael Samuel Erenberg, 58, of Chicago IL, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2002 after a short illness. He will be greatly missed and remembered for having a giant heart, being quick to laugh, having immense talent and creativity, and for the love and support he provided his family and friends.

The son of Harry and Giovanna (nee Scaraglino) Erenberg, Mike was born on April 6, 1963 in Chicago. He was a graduate of Gordon Tech High School, attended Loyola University in Chicago, and founded his own construction company: Chicago Retrofit. Later, Mike spent several years as a finish carpenter and was a proud member of the Carpenters Union Local 181. His son, Luke, is also a member of Local 181.

Mike married Eileen (nee Sullivan) on July 1, 1995. He is preceded in death by his father Harry Erenberg and brother Daniel Erenberg. Mike is survived by his mother Giovanna, his wife Eileen and their three children Luke, Kellie, and Nikki; his brother Louis and sister Susan, and their children.

Visitation and a memorial service was held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, from 3-7pm, at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago, IL.
