Michael Phillip Meza

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Phillip Meza, who departed this life on April 11, 2025, at the age of 71 in Chicago, IL, surrounded by his loved ones. Michael was born on December 22, 1953, in Milwaukee, WI, to Germaine and Peter Meza. Michael is survived by his longtime domestic partner Catherine Dodge, several dear lifelong friends, and friends too numerous to mention. He was preceded in death by Germaine Meza, née Salavsky (mother), and Peter Meza (father).

A beloved spouse and friend, known for his kindness, sense of humor, creativity, and generosity, Michael Meza lived for the joy he gave to others—Art Direction was his passion. Recognized through his ‘fruits of the spirit’: truthfulness, peace of mind, fearlessness, and love were the natural expressions of his soul.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Harmony House for Cats in Michael’s name.
