Orest, Sorry we couldn't be there with you during this difficult time, but I want you to know we're thankful that we had a chance to get to know Monica. We will miss her beautiful smile. Please accept our sincere condolences on your loss.

Dear Lydia and  Elizabeth, to say that you two will miss "choucha"  Monica cannot possibly express the void she leaves in your hearts. But you can count your blessings that you had such a wonderful sister and aunt. When things get tough you can draw on the strength that she always showed and ask her for a little help. And when you are down, you can recall all of the fun things she did and how she brought simile to all of us. She made us better people just by being here.

We are deeply sadden by your loss.  Monica was such a lovely person and you were so blessed to have her in your life. We will miss her at our Christmas Eve table this year.  I was so happy she was able to spend atleast one Christmas with us. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Orr,
It is so hard to believe how life is so fleeting. Monica touched so many peoples lives, including ours. She had so many great qualities and the three that continue to resonate in my heart are strength, love, and courage.  Our family is grateful that we had the honor of having Monica in our lives, if ever so briefly. I would speak to Monica in passing on the elevator or in the halls at the office.  We were not friends.  We were employed by the same firm.  I used to compliment Monica on the style of her hair and she would graciously accept the compliment.  Our encounters always ended with some level of wholesome humor.  When she returned to wherever she was going, she ALWAYS left me smiling.  I never realized that the last time I greeted her and we smiled would be the last time.  If I knew that, I would have hugged her and thanked her for the person she chose to be - loving and courageous.  Yet, I believe her spirit is here - she simply took off her radiant coat.
