Nicolaos was born on October 8, 1924 in Karies, Xios, Greece and passed away on July 23, 2020. Beloved father of Dimitra Kalamaris, Steve (Angie) Kalamaris, and Mark (Argyro) Kalamaris; loving grandfather of Nicholas Kalamaris, John Kalamaris, Georgina Kalamaris, and Stefani Kalamaris; cherished brother of Anna (the late Tom) Alexiou; loving uncle, cousin, and friend of many. Preceded in death by his wife, the late Eleni Kalamaris (nee Andriotis), his parents, the late Rev. Stamatios Kalamaris and Yiannoula Kalamaris, and his six siblings. Nicolaos served in the Greek Army with the Allied Forces in World War II.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28th, from 9:00am to 10:45am at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60646. A private funeral liturgy will be held at Holy Taxiarhai & St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. In consideration of the safety of our guests and associates, Malec & Sons Funeral Home will adhere to the current gathering restrictions in the state of Illinois, which allow 50 or fewer guests at the funeral home.
